The Storybook Trail – “Lucky the Maple Key” at Woodchester is an interactive outdoor experience that winds through scenic forest paths in Bracebridge. Featuring a locally written story and a newly built observation deck overlooking the Muskoka River, it offers a peaceful and family-friendly way to explore nature and enjoy views of downtown and the surrounding forest.
Bracebridge Bay Park
Bracebridge Bay Park is a scenic waterfront park in downtown Bracebridge, offering beautiful views of Bracebridge Falls and the iconic Silver Bridge. Located where the North Branch of the Muskoka River flows into Bracebridge Bay, the park is a popular spot for paddling, swimming, and relaxing by the water. With a sandy beach and dock access, it’s an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty right in the heart of the community.
Trans Canada Trail
Trans Canada Trail – Bracebridge Section offers a scenic 27-kilometre route that winds through forests, fields, rural roads, and parts of downtown Bracebridge. The trail connects visitors to some of the area’s most beautiful natural attractions, including Wilson’s Falls and High Falls, with access points throughout the community such as Strawberry Point Trail and the Downtown Historic Walkway. Popular with walkers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts, this section of the Trans Canada Trail provides a great way to explore Bracebridge’s landscapes and waterways.
Heritage Walking Trail
Bracebridge Heritage Walking Trail is a self-guided walking route that takes visitors through downtown Bracebridge and along the Muskoka River, highlighting historic sites, monuments, and stories that have shaped the community. Featuring 12 interpretive signs, the trail connects key landmarks including waterfront parks, downtown streets, and the historic Woodchester site with its scenic observation deck. First introduced in the 1980s and recently revitalized in 2025, the trail offers a meaningful way to explore Bracebridge’s heritage while enjoying its natural and urban landscapes.
Covered Bridge South Monck Trail
Covered Bridge South Monck Trail is a scenic 8-kilometre multi-use trail that winds through forests, open fields, and peaceful natural landscapes in Bracebridge. Popular with walkers, hikers, and families, the trail features charming wooden bridges, views of a picturesque waterfall, and stretches of tree-lined pathways that create an enchanting forest experience. With multiple access points throughout the community and off-leash access permitted for well-controlled dogs, it's a favourite outdoor destination for exploring nature close to town.
Strawberry Point Trail
Strawberry Point Tail is a picturesque trail network that takes a diverse route through lowlands, rock cuts, and end with a hilltop view overlooking Lake Muskoka. Sections of this trail interlock with the Trans Canada Trail, allowing you to explore the Brent Cross Conservation Area and popular birdwatching spots along the first section of the trail.
Wilson’s Falls Trail
Located just minutes from Downtown Bracebridge is Wilson’s Falls, a picturesque waterfall on the Muskoka River. Follow the edge of the Muskoka River as the landscape changes from a lush green forest to the exposed rock of the Canadian Shield. The water cascades over the waterfall and the river takes an S-curve at the base of the falls. Depending on the season you visit, the falls will have different water levels providing the opportunity to view the power of the running water or explore the driftwood that was left behind.
Bracebridge Resource Mangagement Centre
The Bracebridge Resource Management Centre is a unique trail system to explore. With 19 kilometres of interesting trails, everyone can find a trail for their level. During the summer, enjoy the many trails designated for hiking and mountain biking and in the winter, this outdoor oasis boasts groomed cross-country ski, snowshoe and fat bike trails. For bikers, there is a mix of double and single track, making these trails perfect for all skill levels.
